My True Obsession-first graders

My first graders say the funniest and cutest things sometimes. Here is what they say....

We were listening to music one morning in class before school started...Proud Mary was playing. A little boy excitedly said that he loved this song! He listened for awhile and then asked..."Are they saying, rolling up a window or rolling down the river?"

Christmas gifts

I have really had a good time making most of my Christmas gifts this year. I am already planning for next Christmas. Here are a few of the gifts I made this year. I will post the others after Christmas, once they are opened.

I made these crayons for my niece and nephew. I added a crayon box for each of them. I got the idea from a wonderful blog called  Mad in crafts.

I used these silicon Santa Claus ice cube trays. They worked perfectly! I am pretty excited to see what they think.

I made this tutu for my niece. I used a pattern that I had gotten at Joann's Fabric and Craft store. I am sure there are many patterns online as well. It was pretty easy to do. I bought her a pair of leggings to go under, because I am afraid if I didn't she would wear it without anything underneath. She is nutty like that.

I made this blanket for my nephew. It is hard to tell, but it has dogs and balls all over it. It was actually a kit, but now that I have done this one the next one I won't use a kit. I will just go and buy two different pieces of fleece.
Stay tuned for the others...
